Holiday Happenings in Annapolis

With Thanksgiving just around the corner and Christmas coming up next month, it’s important you get your dose of holiday cheer between gift shopping and preparing for visiting in-laws. Some people prefer to hit the eggnog while others like to get involved in holiday events. Annapolis may be closed as a charter destination during the winter but the holiday happenings are plentiful here. We have created a list of some of our favorites.

Midnight Madness Holiday Shopping December 1 & 8. 6 p.m.-midnight.
Kick off the beginning of December with late night drinks, music, and shopping. Downtown shops will stay open till midnight. Who doesn’t love shopping with a drink in hand?

State House Holiday Concert December 3. 6-9 p.m.
Visit Maryland’s historic state house and experience youth choruses and musicians by the glow of the official State Christmas tree.

Chocolate Binge Festival December 4. Noon-5 p.m.
Annapolis first annual Chocolate Binge Festival takes place on West Street with dozens of vendors selling various chocolate specialties, including chocolate caramels, fudge, cookies, fondue, martinis and more.

Eastport Yacht Club Lights Parade December 10. 6-8 p.m.
The Eastport Yacht Club Lights Parade is one of Annapolis’ signature events. Boats are decked out with lights and decorations while spectators cheer. USA Today has voted this parade as one of the best in the country.
