The Angelina is currently in charter with Annapolis Bay Charters (ABC), the finest and oldest sailboat charter company on the Chesapeake. She has a lovely slip at Port Annapolis Marina, in Eastport, which I feel is the nicest marina in the Annapolis area. Although it is not required that Angelina remain in charter, when sold, I would highly recommend maintaining this arrangement. Her marina fees, insurance premiums, and repairs & maintenance are more than paid for by her charter revenues. Because of the vigilant care provided by ABC, I am always assured that she is properly maintained in a timely fashion, which has allowed me worry-free ownership. You can use your boat whenever you want, and allow or disallow bookings, as you like. Chartering in the Chesapeake, through a company like Annapolis Bay Charters, imposes very little wear and tear on the yacht, yet ensures fully reliable, scheduled and watchful care of your boat.
It is widely known that Jeanneau makes one of the best production boats on the market. The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 35 is a yacht to please all sailors. With the same hull as the Sun Fast 35 racer, she is a brisk performer with perfect balance and very impressive acceleration - yet, a very stable cruiser that is comfortable and secure in fresher winds. The wide, non-skid side decks provide excellent traction for going forward while under way, and all lines come conveniently back to the cockpit. Furthermore, all instrumentation, the chartplotter, and the VHF marine radio, are mounted at the helm. Down below, the Jeanneau 35 is incredibly spacious and well thought out. In fact, the interior layout is the same as the Jeanneau 37, with even more hatches for better ventilation. There is air conditioning (and reverse heat) with dockside power, as well as an inverter for 110v electric afloat. A well-appointed L-shaped galley, a large head/shower combo, roomy double berths with an abundance of storage, and a light and warm, teak-finished salon make this a truly fine vessel for an extended cruise. She sails high to windward, and tacks smoothly and effortlessly with a single hand. She sails swiftly in light air, yet maintains remarkable and comfortable balance in heavy winds.
Although not mentioned on the specs page, the Angelina does have a beautiful, asymmetrical spinnaker, complete with dousing sock, and all necessary rigging.
