Penguin is a luxury catamaran with performance sailing characteristics. Her wide beam yields an extremely stable ride and the spacious interior boasts 6'6" overheads throughout. A large settee with leather cushions seats six comfortably. The starboard king, port or starboard aft queens, and the collapsible settee berths comfortably sleep up to eight. The interior is all cooled by the two Marine Air 12K air conditioners (reverse heat, too) -- even while at anchor, with the quiet, sound-insulated generator.

Penguin has all the room of a 42' catamaran, or even a 70' mono-hull. The 155% genoa and fully-battened mainsail provide excellent sailing potential. Speeds in excess of 8 knots can be easily achieved under sail, as well as 6-8 knots under power. The port & starboard inboard power plants are very efficient; each engine uses only ¾ gallon/hour and only 1 liter/hour for the generator. There are more than 20 hatches and opening ports with fans in every compartment to provide plenty of cross ventilation. Bow trampolines and port or starboard bow seats provide an exhilarating ride, while stern seats afford a broad vista of Penguin underway.
