The Catalina 360 is a true classic that has been in production for many years. It is is arguably one of the most successful production boats ever built, and it's still as popular as ever. Cruising World has bestowed honors on this boat more than once, partly because there are so many things in the design that make good sense... The dual private access to the very roomy head from both the large V-berth cabin and the salon; the settee on the starboard side can converted to a small "game table" which makes a great place for lunch for two (or a computer desk); a chart table with a pivoting seat; convertible seating where the table can also be secured against the bulkhead to open up the entire salon; etc. The list goes on and on. Catalina's designers have always been able think "out of the box" when it comes to interior planning.

Her J-shaped galley is impressive in size and features, while located near the companionway for easy reach to the cockpit. There are hanging lockers, and lots convenient drawer storage around the boat. And although the woodwork creates a lush, warm interior, it always feels bright and airy below because of the 7 deck hatches and various opening ports.
Ad Astra is fun, safe, and responsive to sail, with good control at the helm, all lines leading back to the cockpit, and an easily managed sail plan. The cockpit is very roomy, and with the walk-through transom and wide, uncluttered decks, it's easy for crew to move safely and comfortably around the boat.
